MG-2Y steel bronze powder with POM marginal bearing is a high-performance boundary lubricated bearing. It consists of a low-carbon steel backing for mechanical strength, a sintered porous bronze powder interlayer, and a POM (polyoxymethylene) polymer surface layer with fiber reinforcement. This design provides good load capacity, wear resistance, and low friction, making it suitable for various industrial applications where conventional plain bearings require frequent lubrication.

◆ Features

Suitable for boundary lubrication conditions with low coefficient of friction (0.05–0.20), good wear resistance, and stable sliding characteristics. POM material offers high stiffness and excellent dimensional stability, making the bearing suitable for high load capacities and low speed operations with rotating, oscillating or frequent stop-start motion.[reference:0][reference:1]

Lead-free construction ensures environmental compliance and safe operation in applications where lead is unacceptable. The bearing can work for a long time without oil under boundary lubrication conditions when prelubricated with lubrication indents. ◆ Assembly Note

The bearing is machinable for the thicker layer of POM. Initial pre-lubrication at assembly is strongly recommended.
